Eight nights of projection, performance,

installation and illumination in Bath

Blog Post

Update for Wednesday at Illuminate 2015.

This Wednesday sees a bit of updating to Illuminate 2015 in Bath. Over the past few days we’ve been tweaking some of the artworks to make them brighter and clearer (Flat Georgians on Pulteney Bridge and Elastic City Spacey on the Roman Baths).

Symphony of Light will receive an update and be turned into a interactive game by Diego Garcia de Enterria Diaz and Elena Saenz de la Torre Loras,  and there’ll be informal performance by dance students from Bath Spa University with lit up Umbrellas (organised/created by Neil Glen and Sarah Alexander) around Kingston Parade.

We’ve also been able to enhance the light conditions in the Roman Baths, to make the projections more visible. So if you’ve come and seen it already, come again! (6.30-8.30pm) for Only the Statues Remain by Will Kendrick. Free entry.

Thanks to everybody who is tweeting about Illuminate 2015. Please keep sharing your kind words and photographs.

If you’d like to take part in Lyndal Jone’s Rehearsing Catastrophe: An Ark for Somerset, then email info@illuminate2015.org or turn up at Laura Place fountain at 6.15pm to receive a mask and walk to the Holburne Museum.

The weather doesn’t look too promising for Wednesday, rain and wind, but the wet weather makes for beautiful conditions for reflections of the projections. So don’t miss it!
