Participants wanted for Rehearsing Catastrophe: An Ark for Somerset

Australian Artist Lyndal Jones is looking for members of the public who would like to be part of her environmental artwork, Rehearsing Catastrophe: An Ark for Somerset, at the Holburne Museum from 3-10 January 2015.

Volunteers are needed for a procession from Laura Place Fountain down Great Pulteney Street to The Holburne Museum. The museum will have become a huge Ark.

The art work will be raising awareness of the plight of those homes and businesses impacted by the flooding in Somerset last year.

Participants will be wearing elements of animal costumes and carrying luggage that will be provided. You will need to dress warmly. Families and children are welcome to join us but only if a parent or guardian is also taking part.

If you would like to be part of this exciting installation you would need to be available at 6.30-7.30pm for at least one evening between 3-10 January. No prior experience is required.  If you are interested in taking part in this work of art and would like more information please contact info@illuminate2015.org, or just turn up at Laura Place at 6.30pm on your chosen evening between 3-10 January.
